Just A Quick Recap

Okay, so I have been super busy! (Really who isn't.) I had some time to write a quick post and try to play catch up. Usually I pick sleep over blogging at this time of night but I had to pay bills on the computer anyway so it worked out.

Halloween: Jarrett was a Cardinals baseball player for his second Halloween. He was just over a week old last year so we didn't really do much. Anyway, it was fun to go around and visit everyone. We got, er, I mean, Jarrett got lots of good candy! Pics will have to follow because they are still on the camera.

Most recent news: Our refridgerator took a crud on us this week. Here is kind of how it went down:

Jason: SSSHhh.

Me: What?

Jason: SSSHhh!

(insert weird sound coming from the kitchen)

Me: Oh yeah, that's the fridge. It started doing that this weekend but I forgot to tell you about it. Woops.

Jason: Why is there water dripping from the ice dispencer?

You can probably imagine the rest. Appliance shopping isn't really that fun when you need one ASAP!

Deer Hunting: I am so excited this year that I am going hunting, and yes, I will be by myself with my own gun. I get so nervous thinking about it! I have my hopes up really high that I will shoot a nice one for my first time. Hopefully I will have a good story or two to tell.

Upcoming Event: We are so excited to finally seem some of our friends this weekend at Kelly and Brooks' Wedding. I can't wait to here what Madison, Allie, and Larkin have all been up to.

Looking forward to the Holidays and seeing everyone soon! Until then,

New One Year Pictures

I took some pics of Jarrett after he turned a year. Hopefully I will get some pictures from his birthday party from the family and post later. As I was running around doing things we didn't take very many of our own. I took these on my own and edited at Wal-mart. I am no proffessional for sure but I don't think they turned out too bad for a crazy Sunday afternoon. I will be emailing to the fam so everyone can make reprints of whatever they want.

Its been way longer than I would have liked in between posts. A lot has happened, not sure if I will get caught up on everything but I am going to try.

Finally, An Update

I can't believe how much time flys without us even noticing. It felt like yersterday when we last blogged but all of the sudden it has been weeks. I will try to update on all of things that have been going on but, since it has been such a long time, I will make the long story short.
First, several weeks ago we noticed Jarrett's eyes were looking a little red in the corners. Four doctor appointments, an allergice reaction, and 4 different kinds of eye drops later we seem to have gotten his red eyes under control. I planned to do 9 month pics of him but with the red eyes and crankiness I don't think it would have worked out too, well. So, in the middle of all that Jarrett had a high fever for almost three days. To make things worse it was right before Jason was going to leave for Canada for 12 days so we were really concerned about making sure everything was okay. It was a little stressfull and crazy around here for awhile. I am sure many of you can relate.

I have to write about this because Jason is soooooo proud! About a week after my first post Jason, I, and Jarrett were driving around (undisclosed confidential location of course) to see if we could find any deer and we happened upon an area where there were five or six deer. Three of them were nice bucks but one you could tell was a lot older and had a huge rack! Thank God we brought the binoculaurs. I guess I thought it was huge but I think Jason was pretty excited too. Anyway, we don't get to see too much stuff like that and I think Jason was so excited because Jarrett got to see it with us. (Even thought he was just looking around drooling and playing. We actually had to leave because he started yelling really loud and making noises and we didn't want to disturb all the deer). I will post some pics from Jason's trail cam. These aren't necessarily the same deer that we saw that night but you can get the idea.

As I had mentioned above, a week or so ago Jason had went on a trip to Canda with Jordan, Lennie, and one of Jordan's friends. His Grandpa and Grandma were there, too. It seemed like a really long week and we were definitely glad to have him back. We couldn't even talk by phone for several days. The first weekend Jason was gone, Jarrett stayed at Grandma Pitcher's and my mom came over and we painted the kitchen and living room. I am so glad we did it when Jason was gone. Once I get some good after pics I will post the before and after. Otherwise, just stop by our house if you want to see. I wil included some of Jason's awesome Canada pics in another post because they take so dang long to download. He is so much better at taking pictures than I am.
Jarrett is doing really well at getting around now. He pulls up on everything and just wants to climb and crawl on everything he can. It is so exhausting because it feels like we get even less done than before because our only vocabulary seems to be "Be careful" and "No, No". I seemed to be most concerned about his eating all the time. If he's getting enough and if it's healthy, etc. He is such a finicky (not sure if that is a word) eater. He absolutely seems to hate sitting in his high chair, too so it is so hard to get him to sit and eat. We just kind of do one day at a time.

Oh, one last thing I wanted to write about. Which, Jarrett will probably kill me for this someday. We started giving Jarrett his baths in the tub instead of the kitchen sink. There just got to be too much splashing. Anyway, Jarrett finally found....uh uhm....you know what. Now every time we put in the bathtub that's all he can focus on. Sadly, Jason and I just sit there and laugh at him because we think it is so cute. I don't really know what else to write about but that is the bulk of what has been going on. It has been a pretty busy and hectice last few weeks, but hopefully I will get better at blogging regularly and taking pictures. Hope to see everyone soon.

P.S. I am still promising the Jail-Bird story but there is just not enough time tonight. And frankly, it took me forever to this blog posting.

Yes, We Are Still Here!

I just wanted to let everyone know that, Yes, we are still around and we have not fallen off the face of the earth. I did really good with this blogging thing at the beginning but seems I have dwindled a bit. I promise that I will start posting soon and more often. It seems like so much has been going on but when it comes down to it that's just every day life. Here is a little teaser for things to come:

1. No 9mo pics due to Jarrett's eye infection (conjunctivitus) and possible strep throat.
2. Some cool pics from Jason's Canada fishing trip.
3. New pics of Jarrett over the last month.

Hopefully I will find the time to download all the pictures and get them posted. Not really as much fun to read the blog without pics, right?

Just Another Weekend

Another weekend past. It seems like they fly by anymore. I can't imagine what its like for those that don't live as close to their families as we do and have to pack up all their stuff and travel all over the place. I guess I shouldn't complain. Not much really happened this weekend (not necessarily a bad thing). Saturday evening our community got together at Harmon Hall near Gila for an Ice Cream Social. It was really nice to talk to all of the people there. Even though they are all pretty much our neighbors we don't really stop in and talk to them too much. The ice cream and desserts were great too! After that we came home and just hung out as a family. Today was Betty Smith's (my Aunt) annual Pool Party. She has it every year at the pool at her house. All of her relatives come and also my Uncles side as well. There is usually a huge group of people. We got to see my cousin Leslie who is going to have a baby in January. She is fourteen weeks and you can't even tell she is pregnant at all. She looked so great. I think Jarrett had a pretty good time even thought it was a little cool for swimming. We still visited and ate tons of good food so I think it was worth it. The best part was Jarrett getting his first experience with grass. I never really thought about it before but he has probably never really touched the grass. We put a blanket down and he was crawling around, but then when he got to the grass he didn't want to touch it at all. It was so funny. We would hold him and try to get him to stand on the grass and he kept lifting his feet up as high as he could. Ah the simple things in life right? Anway, following are some pictures that we took at the Pool Party. Nevermind they are at the top. I am still learning how to do this and I can't get the pictures to move down. It must of been how I loaded them up. First is Grandpa Pruemer and Jarrett and the other two are Jarrett experimenting with grass. Oh wait, the last statement didn't sound good. Anyway....its kind of late and I am starting to ramble so we'll see you all soon.

Jumping on the Bandwagon

Okay, Okay. I know there are several people out there saying to themselves. "Oh no, they've been sucked into the blog world." Yes, I will admit it. After staying updated with everyone else's blog I started checking into it a little. I thought I would never have time, that it would be too hard and so on. And, once I started playing around with it, it just kind of happened. All of the sudden we had a blog. The last thing to do was write the first post and let people know it was out there. (Am I really doing this? Yes, I think so) I decided to make this blog mostly about Jarrett because that is the real reason I am doing this. I figured it was a whole lot easier and less time consuming than scrapbooking and now Jarrett will have all kinds of great memories right at his fingertips when he is older. (Well, from 8 1/2 months old going forward anyway. Really everything before this was quite a blurr). I hope I can keep it updated and make it worth everyone's while to read it. Its quite simple right now but I assume we will add more things as we figure it out. So for those of you out there shaking your heads maybe just give it a try. And for those of you already blogging you may have to help us out with some of this stuff!
