I can't believe how much time flys without us even noticing. It felt like yersterday when we last blogged but all of the sudden it has been weeks. I will try to update on all of things that have been going on but, since it has been such a long time, I will make the long story short.
First, several weeks ago we noticed Jarrett's eyes were looking a little red in the corners. Four doctor appointments, an allergice reaction, and 4 different kinds of eye drops later we seem to have gotten his red eyes under control. I planned to do 9 month pics of him but with the red eyes and crankiness I don't think it would have worked out too, well. So, in the middle of all that Jarrett had a high fever for almost three days. To make things worse it was right before Jason was going to leave for Canada for 12 days so we were really concerned about making sure everything was okay. It was a little stressfull and crazy around here for awhile. I am sure many of you can relate.
I have to write about this because Jason is soooooo proud! About a week after my first post Jason, I, and Jarrett were driving around (undisclosed confidential location of course) to see if we could find any deer and we happened upon an area where there were five or six deer. Three of them were nice bucks but one you could tell was a lot older and had a huge rack! Thank God we brought the binoculaurs. I guess I thought it was huge but I think Jason was pretty excited too. Anyway, we don't get to see too much stuff like that and I think Jason was so excited because Jarrett got to see it with us. (Even thought he was just looking around drooling and playing. We actually had to leave because he started yelling really loud and making noises and we didn't want to disturb all the deer). I will post some pics from Jason's trail cam. These aren't necessarily the same deer that we saw that night but you can get the idea.
As I had mentioned above, a week or so ago Jason had went on a trip to Canda with Jordan, Lennie, and one of Jordan's friends. His Grandpa and Grandma were there, too. It seemed like a really long week and we were definitely glad to have him back. We couldn't even talk by phone for several days. The first weekend Jason was gone, Jarrett stayed at Grandma Pitcher's and my mom came over and we painted the kitchen and living room. I am so glad we did it when Jason was gone. Once I get some good after pics I will post the before and after. Otherwise, just stop by our house if you want to see. I wil included some of Jason's awesome Canada pics in another post because they take so dang long to download. He is so much better at taking pictures than I am.
Jarrett is doing really well at getting around now. He pulls up on everything and just wants to climb and crawl on everything he can. It is so exhausting because it feels like we get even less done than before because our only vocabulary seems to be "Be careful" and "No, No". I seemed to be most concerned about his eating all the time. If he's getting enough and if it's healthy, etc. He is such a finicky (not sure if that is a word) eater. He absolutely seems to hate sitting in his high chair, too so it is so hard to get him to sit and eat. We just kind of do one day at a time.
Oh, one last thing I wanted to write about. Which, Jarrett will probably kill me for this someday. We started giving Jarrett his baths in the tub instead of the kitchen sink. There just got to be too much splashing. Anyway, Jarrett finally found....uh uhm....you know what. Now every time we put in the bathtub that's all he can focus on. Sadly, Jason and I just sit there and laugh at him because we think it is so cute. I don't really know what else to write about but that is the bulk of what has been going on. It has been a pretty busy and hectice last few weeks, but hopefully I will get better at blogging regularly and taking pictures. Hope to see everyone soon.
P.S. I am still promising the Jail-Bird story but there is just not enough time tonight. And frankly, it took me forever to this blog posting.
